A Journey Of Teaching Professional Development Courses

After all journey of Teaching Professional Development (TPD) courses, this is time to make a diary of Teaching Professional Development courses. We learned many things in here, so I can share to the reader of my blog. Here we go!

Ciao! My name is Hanif. This is my first ever blog post on internet. I am one of the students of English Education Department Islamic University of Indonesia. I am at fifth semester right now. I take seven courses for this semester. One of them is interesting courses that called Teaching Professional Development. I can say this my favorite courses because my motivation goes really up in several activities of Teaching Professional Development. Someday, InsyaAllah I will be an English teacher.

"One of my greatest memories are interviewing English teacher in SMK Sanjaya Pakem"-Hanif

I remember that I have interviewed Ms.Oda in SMK Sanjaya Pakem. I went to SMK Sanjaya Pakem with Yenni Widiarti, and Rahmad Saputra. The moment was so great and meaningful for me because I got many general and specific information based on Ms. Oda. The discussion was about teaching quality, teaching certification, and some additional information about how to handle the student. Some of points have been taken to me especially about how to be a professional teacher. Ms.Oda told that the experiences of teacher is the key factor to be a professional teacher. She also noted that teacher professional development should provide by the government and the school oftentimes. While teaching and learning process, Ms.Oda said we can not put our personal problems to the classroom. I also remember Ms. Oda's suggestion about the relationship between the parents and the school should connected well. Last but not least, "being teacher is the most valuable experience in your life. You will deeply know your student's characteristic". This interview was so great for me.

Coursera

I did a second activity with something very useful for my future. I have finished Week 1 of MOOC Coursera with the theme English for Career Development. My experience in participating in this course is very memorable. I was very interested since the first material on the introduction was delivered by Mba Robyn Turner and Mas Brian McManus who explained very clearly and clearly through video shows. On this first week, my level of English with the material given at Coursera was very suitable, although there were some vocabularies needed to study again. Week 1 material in Coursera also opened my eyes to the world of work. Previously, I only understood a little about job search, which was only through showing CVs or interviews, but before the process, there was a process of knowing what skills we had and what benefits we could use to use our skills. In this Week 1 course, I also got information about various reading articles related to our abilities, got information from VOA news, and also added grammar learning. I also get a lot of practice where the practice was very useful to examine the reader's understanding of the material presented. Even though I am still a student, the material about the work is needed as much as in this course. Week 1. Overall, to be honest, this course is so great for me. It really motivated me to continue learning and practicing to become an educator in the future.

The last activity motivates me very well to gain new experience. My lecturer Ms.Astri Hapsari told to us that the LinkedIn and the other websites are important to us. We asked by her to register beneficial website in order to create professional person. I noted that LinkedIn has many functions to get job through a resume or CV. We can share our past experience, volunteer experience, our achievement, our certification, and others on LinkedIn. I think this website is one of the solution to get a job, internship, or voluntary action in cyberspace. The picture or link on the website is also provided as an evidence to write in our CV. Therefore, our generation really needs this platform to build our future.

Perjalanan Ke Jepang

Osaka and Kyoto January 9th, 2020 Konnichiwa! Perjalananku dimulai dari Soekarno Hatta International Airport. Hatiku sangat bergembira hari itu. Aku berangkat bersama teman-teman dan juga dua dosen saya yaitu Miss Astri dan Miss Intan. Teman-temanku yang berangkat itu adalah Izam, Ama, Syahrul, dan Salma. Aku berangkat sekitar pukul 01.00 malam menggunakan Philippine Airlines. Jujur hari itu adalah hari yang sangat menggembirakan buat diriku karena sekitar 3 bulan yang lalu aku baru saja ke Australia. Ini adalah sebuah mimpi yang terwujud. Alhamdulillah. window position near wing  dan makanan di maskapai Philippine Airlines Transit di Filipina Kami sempat mampir atau  transit  terlebih dahulu di negara yang ibukotanya bernama Manila.
